G.T. Tools offers a one-stop shop – something few other toolmakers can provide. It project manages the entire operation in-house. The benefits to customers are reduced costs and shorter lead times.

Unlike many toolmakers G.T. Tools can also offer the scope for prototype manufacture, prior to hard tooling either via in-house manufacture of prototype aluminium tooling or externally by silicon tooling, stereolithography or vacuum forming. The process of mould flow can also be introduced and project managed by our technical team to provide information to help the moulding process such as filling, cooling and warpage analysis.

This is then complemented by the facilities to produce hard tooling to a high technical specification.

G.T. Tools liaises closely with the customer to provide a comprehensive in-house design facility.

Once the CAD data has been received and the brief established the tool is then designed and manufactured in the company’s modern equipped toolroom. This includes the tool being trialled on the Sandretto 500 tonne moulding machine and inspected using a 3-axis Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). All these activities are carried out in-house to strict quality control guidelines by experienced staff to ensure they meet customers’ specific individual requirements.

All tools are delivered in line with the customer’s print, brief and schedule requirements, and can be supplied with comprehensive inspection reports.

Projects are managed by experienced technical design staff using Microsoft Project 98 and 2000 software.
